My second K class is just about finished bar a few little items.
Like my other K class I’ve fitted this with a High Level gearbox and Mashima motor. I replaced the kits white metal connecting rods with some nickel silver ones and beefed up the inside of the cylinders with some brass tube.
The original K’s kits lacks a lot of pipe work and small details like the cab doors on the tender. Most of this has been knocked up from brass rod and plasticard with the lamp irons coming from the RT models range. The tender has had a Comet chassis put under it to help it run a little better.
